Memoir class is a thing?! And I can't believe you didn't mention the classic creepy-as-heck-but-it's-for-kids-we-swear Don Bluth film, The Secret of Nimh. I passionately love both the book and the movie. Don't mess with a moving cinder block!
I only didn’t mention it because I honestly can’t remember it all that well! My strongest memory of it is that one character says “Damn” and I was scandalized. Another note is that as a child I found the sequel, “Racso and the Rats of NIMH,” written by the original author’s daughter, to be brilliant and moving, but upon reread last year I did not find it to be very good at all. The original very much holds up!
Oh and memoir class is incredible. I am eagerly eating up all my mom’s chapters and highly encourage everyone to gift their parents such classes if such gifts exist.
